국내 공연관광 상품의 가격 동향 분석을 통한 활성화

한국을 방문하는 외래관광객의 꾸준한 증가에 따라, 체험 관광 상품에 대한 요구도 증가하고 있다. 공연관광은 공연과 관광의 접목을 통해 탄생한 관광 상품으로, 한국에서는 넌버벌 공연 위주로 성장하여 왔다. 공연관광 시장 전체 규모도 지속적으로 성장하고 있고, 외국인 관광객 대비 외국인 관객 비율도 증가하고 있으나, 단체관광객 위주로 인한 구조적 문제점이 존재하고 있다. 한국의 대표적 공연관광 운영사들의 수입 및 가격 구조 분석을 통해 본 결과, 단체관광객 위주의 수입 구조와 지나친 할인 가격 제공 등의 문제가 있음을 발견하였다. 특히, 일본관광객의 감소와 중국관광객의 증가에 따른 공연관광 운영사 간의 과당 경쟁 등으로 중국 단체관광객을 대상으로 한 할인 폭이 매년 커지면서 구조적 문제점이 심화되고 있다. 이에 대해 가장 필요한 조치 사항은 중국 단체 관광객을 대상으로 한 여행사의 저가 관광을 근절하는 것이다. 이와 더불어 개별관광객 비중의 확대, 업계의 자정 노력, 공연 콘텐츠의 질 향상, 국내외 소비시장 확대를 위한 마케팅 등을 통한 체질 개선이 필요하다.
Abstract
The number of foreign tourists coming to Korea were increasing rapidly. Foreigners’ interest in Korean performing arts had also been increasing accordingly. Performing arts tourism in Korea had mostly focused on nonverbal performances. The performing arts tourism industry had grown steadily. However, there was a problem that the industry depended too much on group tourists and travel agencies. Analyzing the price of performing arts products had offered to travel agencies by nonverbal performing arts companies, this study had found that there had been great price discounts to group tourists. Especially, price discounts to Chinese group tourists had increased in recent years. The main solution to this problem was to get rid of low-priced travel packages. In addition to that measure, we should increase the number of foreign individual travelers and promoted performing arts products home and abroad.
