연구목적: 본 연구는 AI 시대의 디지털 기술이 무용에 주는 새로운 가능성을 미학적 관점에서 분석하여 기술이 예술에 미치는 영향을 재해석하고 무용 예술의 방향성을고찰하고자 한다. 연구방법: 메를로-퐁티의 이론에서 제시된 ‘지각된 몸'(Le corpspropre)을 중심으로 무용수의 몸이 환경과 어떻게 상호작용하며 의미를 형성하는지탐구할 것이다. 또한 돈 아이디의 현상학적 기술 개념을 활용하여 기술이 인간 경험과 세계 인식을 어떻게 변형하고 재구성하는지 살펴볼 것이다. 무용수의 몸과 기술 간의 상호작용을 탐구함으로써 디지털 기술이 무용수와 관객에서 미친 영향을 분석하겠다. 연구결과: 몸과 기술의 관계를 <기술을 지배하는 몸>, <기술에 지배당한 몸>, <기술과 공존하는 몸>으로 유형화하였고 무용과 기술의 관계성이 나아가야 할 방향을 제시하였다. 첫째, 기술과 공존하는 몸이 되려면 몸을 둘러싼 시간성과 공간성에 대한 재정의가 필요하다. 둘째, 무용과 기술의 관계성에서 주체이자 대상인 서로 얽힘이 일어나려면 현실과 가상 사이 공간에 몸을 놓이게 해야 한다. 셋째, 기술은 가상 속 몸으로의 감각적 확장을 가능하게 한다. 결론: 무용과 기술의 통합으로 무용의 본질이 훼손될 수 있다는 우려도 존재하나 디지털 기술은 무용에 가능성을 확장시키는 수단이기도 하다. 무용과 기술의 관계성에 대한 논의처럼 변화하는 시대에 무용 예술이 나아갈 방향에 대한 고민은 지속되어야 할 것이다.
Abstract
Purpose: This study aims to reinterpret the impact of technology on art and examine the direction of dance art by analyzing the new possibilities of digital technology in the AI era from an aesthetic point of view. Methods: Centered on Merleau-Ponty's concept of the 'perceived body' (Le corps propre), this study will explore how a dancer's body interacts with its surroundings to form meaning. Additionally, Don Ihde's phenomenological concept of technology, the study will examine how technology, beyond being merely a tool, transforms and reconstructs human experience and perception of the world. Based on the exploration of the interaction between the dancer's body and technology, the study aims to analyze the impact of digital technology on both dancers and audiences. Result: By analyzing the relationship between the body and technology, this study categorizes the relationship into <The Body that Dominates Technology>, <The Body Dominated by Technology>, and <The Body Coexisting with Technology>, and suggests the future direction of the relationship between dance and technology. First, to become a body coexisting with technology, it is necessary to redefine the temporality and spatiality surrounding the body. Second, in order to entangle the subject and object in the relationship between dance and technology, it is necessary to place the body in the space between reality and virtuality. Third, technologyenables the sensory expansion of the body into the virtual. Conclusion: There are concerns that the integration of dance and technology may damage the essence of dance, but digital technology is also a means of expanding the possibility of dance.
