초록
This paper evaluates the impact of Korea’s Aid for Trade on aid recipient exports. Accordingly, the author employs the gravity model of trade to investigate how Korea’s Aid for Trade affects bilateral exports in recipients’ countries using panel data of 136 recipient countries during the period from 2006 to 2017. In addition, the author analyzes the sectoral impact of Aid for Trade on recipients’ bilateral exports. The main findings of this paper indicate that the direct impact of Korea’s Aid for Trade on recipients’ bilateral exports to Korea is positive, as a 10 percent increase in Korea’s Aid for Trade resulted in a 2.35 percent increase in recipients’ exports to Korea. In addition, the study verifies the impact of trade policies and regulations related to Aid for Trade is the highest among three categories.
