본 연구는 한국이 2019년 4 무역대상국으로 자리 잡은 베트남과의 FTA를 확대시켜 나갈 때 예상되는 경제적 효과를 축차동태 GTAP 모형을 활용하여 도출한다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위해 상품 양허를 통한 개방 확대뿐만 아니라 OECD의 STRI를 활용하여 외국인 지분 제한 철폐를 통한 서비스 시장 개방의 효과까지 분석한다. 분석 결과에 따르면, 한국·베트남 FTA가 확될 경우 한국과 베트남의 실질 GDP는 장기적으로 각각 0.123~0.128%, 1.257~1.287% 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 산업별로도 양국 모두 산업 전반에 걸쳐 생산이 증대되는 것으로 나타났다. 이렇듯 양국의 경제협력은 상호 경제에 도움이 될 뿐만 아니라 향후 남북간 경제협력의 모형으로 활용될 가능성도 있는 것으로 판단된다.
Abstract
This study derives the economic effects expected by expanding Korea’s FTA with Vietnam, which is its fourth largest trading partner in 2019, using the recursive dynamic GTAP model. This study analyzes the effect of opening up the service market through the elimination of foreign ownership restrictions using the OECD STRI, as well as expanding the opening through commodity market concessions. According to the results, if the Korea-Vietnam FTA is expanded, real GDP in Korea and Vietnam would increase 0.123 ~ 0.128% and 1.257~1.287%, respectively, in the long term. For the industrial level, both countries show increased production across industries. As such, the economic cooperation between the two countries not only helps the mutual economy, but also may be used as a model for future economic cooperation between the South and North Korea.
