戰時期 일본 기업경영사 연구의 동향과 전망

본 연구의 목적은, 최근 일본에서 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 戰時期 일본의 기업경영사 연구의 동향을 살펴보고 향후의 경향을 전망해보는 데 있다. 1980년대 후반 이후 일본에서 전시경제에 대한 관심이 높아진 배경에는 사회주의권의 붕괴와 자본주의 시장경제로의 이행이라는 국제적인 요인 이외에도 일본경제의 버블붕괴와 장기불황, 그리고 연구사적으로 제도분석에 대한 관심의 증가라는 요인이 있었다. 다양한 실증연구의 결과, 전시기 기업경영활동의 자율성, 전시기의 다각화・그룹화의 의의, 제2차 세계대전 이후의 일본 기업시스템과의 관계, ‘일본적 경영’ 요소의 형성과정 등 많은 주요 논점들에 대한 논의의 진전이 이루어졌다. 그러나 한편으로 제2차 세계대전 이후 일본기업시스템의 ‘원류 찾기’에 논의가 지나치게 집중되었고, 정치사・사회사와의 대화가 적어졌다는 한계도 있다. 향후 이러한 한계를 극복해가면서, 새로운 자료를 이용한 실증연구가 더욱 활발해질 것이며, 특히 일본 ‘제국권’ 전체를 아우르는 기업경영사 연구가 진전될 것으로 전망된다.
Abstract
This Article is to survey the studies on business history of wartime economy of Japan. Economic and business historical studies on wartime period were rapidly increased from late 1980s. There were collapse of socialism in Eastern Europe and long recession of Japanese economy, in the background where the high interest on the wartime period. Moreover, it was the one of causes that institutional economic history prevailed. As a result of various economic and business historical studies, understanding of the following issues became clarified. Did the freedom of corporate's decision making exist during the wartime period? What is the significance of diversification and grouping of corporate at that period? Did the Japanese economy system formed during the wartime period continue after the World war two? Why Japanese production method was established in that period? On the other hand, studies were too focused on the finding origin of element of Japanese economy system. And the limit such as the corporation between economic history studies and socio-political history studies decreased, is to be pointed out. It is expected from now on, while overcoming such limits, case studies on wartime period increase. Especially, economic and business historical studies on 'Imperial Japan' will be progressed actively.
