국내 PR학 분야의 사례연구방법 적용에 대한 고찰

사례연구는 PR학 연구에서 자주 활용하는 방법 중의 하나이다. 그러나 학술적 접근 방법으로서의 사례연구라는 틀에 대한 고찰이나 논의는 찾아보기 어려운 것이 현 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내의 대표적인 PR전문 학술지인 홍보학연구의 창간호부터 2005년까지, 지난 9년간 게재된 논문들을 분석하여 사례연구가 어떻게 사용되고 있는지를 살펴보고, 이를 미국의 경우와 비교해 보았다. 더 나아가, 학술연구 접근법으로서 사례연구 방법의 가능성에 대해 탐색해 보았다.
Abstract
Case studies are often used in public relations research. However, few scholars have closely examined the case study strategy as an academic research tool. In order to examine how case study strategies are used in Korean public relations research, articles published in the Korean Journal of Public Relations Research [Hong-bo-hak Yeon Gu] from 1997 to 2005 are analyzed and compared with prior U.S. research results.
