가계조사에서 불가피하게 발생하는 단위 무응답의 처리 방법으로는 가중치 조정법이 주로 사용된다. 가중치 조정은 전체 표본집단을 여러 개의 무응답층으로 나눈 후에 각 무응답층에서 응답률을 추정하여 그 역수를 무응답 조정 승수로 계산한 후 기본가중치에 곱하여 최종 가중치를 산정하는 것이 일반적이다. 무응답층을 구성하는 방법은 층내 응답률이 동질적이 되도록 하는 방법과 층내 주요 변수값의 변동을 최소화 하는 방법으로 나눌 수 있는데 본 연구에서는 먼저 층내 응답률이 동질적으로 되도록 나눈 후에 주요 변수값의 층내 분산을 계산하여 층내 분산이 지나치게 크게 나타나는 무응답층에 대하여 층을 세분하는 방법을 사용하였다. 무응답 층의 결정에는 의사결정 나무의 하나인 CHAID 알고리즘을 사용하였고 그 후 여러 달의 자료에 대해 응답률의 동질성에 대한 검정을 카이제곱 통계량을 사용하여 검정하였다. 이와 같은 방법으로 최종 결정되어진 무응답 층에 무응답 가중치 조정법을 사용한 통계량을 구현하였고 그의 분산 추정법을 잭나이프를 사용하여 제안하였다. 또한 실제 자료를 사용하여 모의 실험을 통해 본 방법론을 기존의 방법론과 비교하였다.
Abstract
Nonresponse weighting adjustment is a commonly used technique in the analysis of household survey data with unit nonresponse. In nonresponse weighting adjustment, several weighting cells are formed and nonresponse adjustment factor computed from each cell is multiplied to the original base weight. The weighting cells are formed either to get homogeneous response probability within each cell or to minimize the within-cell variation for a few key items. In this study, the cells are first partitioned to get homogeneous response probability and then some of the cells with high variance of a key item are further partitioned to reduce the within-cell variation.CHAID algorithm is used in the actual implementation and a chi-square test is used to test the homogeneity of the response probability. After the cell formation is finalized, nonresponse weighting adjustment technique is applied to get final estimates and their variance estimates are computed using a version of jackknife method. A limited simulation study is also presented to compare the methods.
