본 연구는 육군이 미래 정신전력교육 발전을 위해 개발한 「인공지능(AI) 기반 미래정신전력교육 플랫폼」을 야전부대 시범적용 결과를 분석하여, AI 기반 교육방법이 기존 교육방식과 비교해 그 효과성을 검증하고, AI 기반 교육 플랫폼의 기술적 요인들이 학습효과에 미치는 영향을 분석했다. 이를 통해 향후 육군 AI 기반 미래정신전력교육 발전을 위한 효과적 정책 및 추진전략 수립에 필요한 제언과 고려사항을 도출 하는데 연구목적과 의의가 있다. 연구는 AI를 비롯한 에듀테크 관련 최근 연구결과, 국내외 학교교육에서 AI 도입 및 활용사례를 살펴본 후 연구가설과 연구모형을 설정해 육군 「인공지능(AI) 기반 미래정신전력교육 플랫폼」 시범적용 부대 장병 233명을 AI 기반 교육 플랫폼 활용 집단과 미활용 집단으로 구분 설문조사 및 분석을 진행했다. 연구결과 AI 기반 교육 플랫폼 이용이 기존 집합식 정신전력교육보다 긍정적 효과를 나타냈다. 특히, AI 기반 교육 플랫폼의 기술적 요인(하드웨어&소프트웨어)은 AI를 교육 도구로써 도입 및 활용함으로써 교육효과에 정(+)의 관계를 보였다. 또한, AI 플랫폼 메뉴 이용과 동영상 검색 용이성, AI 플랫폼 이용 적극적 참여도, 동영상 음질 만족도가 AI 기반 교육의 효과에 미치는 영향력이 높게 나타났다.
Abstract
This paper analyzes the results of the pilot project that used the ROK Army’s 'AI-based future mental strength education platform' to develop future military spiritual education in field units. Furthermore, the paper validates the effectiveness of the AI-based training method in comparison to the existing method. The paper intends to derive the recommendations and considerations from the analysis in order for the Army to establish effective policies and promote strategies for the development of AI-based future military spiritual education. To do that, the paper examines recent research results on AI and edutech and scrutinizes cases that applied AI technology in domestic and international school education. The paper then establishes research hypotheses and models and analyzes the survey results from a unit that applied an AI-based future education platform. The unit had 233 members and was divided into two groups: one of which used an AI-based platform for future education and one of which did not. The paper discovers that using an AI-based future education platform has a more positive effect than using an existing in-person education method, and the technical factors (hardware and software) of the AI-based education platform have a positive correlation with expected educational effects of using AI as a teaching tool. In particular, the paper identifies several factors that have a significant impact on the AI-based education effect, including the convenience of the platform menu and video searching function, the level of active participation, and satisfaction with video sound quality.
