본 논문은 채명신 장군의 삶과 업적을 육군 리더십 모형(Warrior모형)에 입각하여 분석함으로써 그가 리더십 본보기가 되는 전쟁영웅이었음을 깊이 연구하고자 한다. 그리하여 이를 정신전력 교육과 군인정신 함양에 유의한 교육자료로써 활용하고자 하는 것이다. 오늘날 장군이면서도 사병묘역에 묻힌 것만 보아도 그의 삶은 귀감이 된다. 현장지휘 및 일상 속에서 여러 유형의 리더십이 그의 덕망과 함께 드러나지만 그 가운데서도 섬김의 모습과 원리, 원칙에 충실한 리더십은 더욱 우리에게 귀감이 되고 있다. 따라서 육군 리더십 모형(Warrior모형)을 활용하여 연구를 시도하는 것은 의미있는 일이라고 생각하였다. 채명신은 우리 현대사에 있어서 가장 훌륭한 지도자이며 군 리더이다. 그는 평생을 직업군인의 길을 걸어가면서 지위가 높아질 때도 권력의 칼날을 함부로 휘두른 적이 없었다. 오로지 초지일관 겸손과 온유하고 정의로운 군인의 모습을 견지하였다. 많은 권력자들은약자에 강하고 강자에 약한 면모를 보였지만 채명신은 그 반대의 삶을 살았다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 채명신의 삶에 나타난 군인으로서의 정신세계 속에서 우리가본받아야 할 다양한 업적을 찾아 볼 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 그가 발휘한 리더십은 군장병들에게 롤 모델이 되기에 더없이 충분하다는 유의미한 결과를 도출할 수 있었다.
Abstract
This paper aims to study in depth that General Chae Myung-shin's life and achievements were analyzed based on the Army Leadership Model (Warrior Model). Thus, Chae Myung-shin's leadership is intended to be used as a significant data for mental strength education and military spirit cultivation. Even though he is a general today, his life is an example just by looking at him buried in the private cemetery. Various types of leadership are revealed along with his virtues in field command and daily life, but among them, leadership that is faithful to the appearance, principles, and principles of service is becoming a model for us. Therefore, it was considered meaningful to study his life and achievements using the Army leadership model(Warrior model). Chae Myung-shin is the best leader and military leader in our modern history. In his life, he had never wielded the blade of power recklessly even when his position rose while walking the path of a professional soldier. He maintained a consistent humility and a gentle and just soldier. Many powerful people were strong in the weak and weak in the strong, but Chae Myung-shin lived the opposite life. Therefore, through this study, we were able to find various achievements that we should emulate in the mental world as a soldier in Chae Myung-shin's life. Based on this, it was possible to derive meaningful results that his leadership was enough to be a role model for military soldiers.
