현재 우리나라에서 실시되고 있는 미술영재교육의 주요 대상자는 초등학생들이며, 이들에 대한 선발은 각 교육기관에서 자체적으로 실시되는 실기 시험을 중심으로 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 이러한 실기 시험 중심의 선발 방식으로는 연령에 따른 미술영재성의 정도를 전국적인 범위에서 객관적으로 파악하기 어렵다는 한계를 지닌다. 이에 본 연구를 통해 초등학령기 학생들의 미술영재성을 보다 객관적으로 평가할 수 있는 검사 도구를 개발하고, 연령 발달에 따른 미술영재성의 특징을 분석함으로써 초등학령기 미술영재 선발에서의 활용 가능성을 검증하고자 한다.
Abstract
The majority of gifted art programs in South Korea are for elementary school students, who are selected on the basis of examinations such as drawing test. However, focus on practical tests is limited in that it is difficult to objectively evaluate the degree of artistic giftedness by age and on a national scope. The purpose of this study is to develop an art literacy test that can more objectively evaluate the artistic giftedness of elementary school students and to validate the feasibility of practical application in the field. The findings from the study demonstrate that the art literacy test for elementary school students had stable reliability and validity, and has a predictive power of the artistic giftedness.
