본 연구는 미술관과 학교 간의 연계 교육 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초 연구로서, 미술관 교육의 의미와 특성을 분석하고 관련 선행 연구 및 미술관 운영 교육 프로그램 사례를 조사하여 미술관-학교 연계 프로그램 개발에 대한 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목표로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 국내 주요 미술관에서 운영된 학교 연계 프로그램을 조사하고, 미술관 교육의 다양한 유형과 그 운영 방식, 문제점 등을 분석하였다. 또한, 2022 개정 미술과 교육과정과 미술관 교육의 연계성을 살펴보고, 학교 교육과정 내에서 미술관 프로그램을 효과적으로 적용할 수 있는 방향을 모색하였다. 그 결과, 미술관-학교 연계 교육이 효과적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 ① 체험형 학습과 사전․사후 연계 학습의 강화, ② 교사와 미술관 에듀케이터 간의 협력 체제 구축, ③ 미술 교과 역량과 연계된 프로그램 개발, ④ 전시 기획 및 공동체 기반 프로젝트의 도입 등 프로그램 다양화, ⑤ 디지털 기술을 활용한 학생들의 주체적인 참여 유도, ⑥ 하이브리드 학습 모델 구축이 필요함을 확인하였다.
Abstract
This study represents foundational research on the development of museum-school collaborations for educational programs. It aims to analyze the significance and characteristics of museum education, examine prior studies and case studies of museum-operated educational programs, and derive implications for the development of museum-school collaborative programs. Through an analysis of school partnership programs operated by major museums in South Korea, the study identifies the various types and operational methods of museum education. Additionally, it explores the connections between the 2022 revised art curriculum and museum education to explore effective ways to integrate museum programs into the school curriculum. Key findings reveal that, successful implementation for these programs require, strengthening experiential learning with pre- and post-learning activities, establishing a cooperative system between teachers and museum educators, developing programs aligned with the competencies of the art curriculum, introducing exhibition planning and community-based projects, promoting students’ active engagement through online education and digital technology, and constructing a hybrid learning model utilizing digital technology.
