고성오광대 말뚝이춤의 서사적 구성과 미적 특성 연구

이 연구는 고성오광대의 말뚝이춤에 대한 서사적 구성과 미적 특성을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위한 연구방법과 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사료와 문헌 및 전승자들의 기록을 통해 고성오광대의 유래와 말뚝이춤의 내용 및 구성을 개괄한다. 둘째, 고성오광대 말뚝이춤을 무보로 정리하고 춤사위를 분석한다. 셋째, 제2과장 오광대놀이를 분석하여 고성오광대 말뚝이춤의 서사적 구성을 연구한다. 넷째, 분석된 춤사위를 바탕으로 다른 지역의 탈춤과 비교하여 고성오광대 말뚝이춤의 미적 특성을 서술한다. 고성오광대의 제2과장 오광대놀이는 말뚝이가 연희장으로 들어와 춤을 추는 장면과 재담하는 장면 이후 춤을 추며 퇴장하는 장면으로 나뉜다. 이에 따른 서사적 구성은 도입·전개·종결 부분으로 구분할 수 있다. 또한, 고성오광대 말뚝이춤의 춤사위에는 다른 영남지역의 탈춤들에 비해 풍자미(諷刺美), 질박미(質朴美), 골계미(滑稽美), 해학미(諧謔美)와 같은 미적 특성이 더욱 더 잘 드러나고 있다. 한민족과 함께 해 온 탈춤은 한국인의 삶과 사상이 응축된 표현 미학의 결정체이다.이처럼 한민족의 생활과 문화, 역사를 아우르며 지금까지 전승되고 있는 탈춤 가운데 고성오광대 탈춤은 뛰어난 예술성과 독특한 과장별 구성 등이 우리나라를 대표한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore narrative composition and aesthetic characteristics of Goseong Ogwangdae Malttugi Dance. This study utilized the following research methodology. First, summarize the origin of Goseong Ogwangdae and the contents and composition of Malttugi Dance through historical materials, literature and transmitters' records. Second, arrange Goseong Ogwangdae Malttugi Dance in dance notation and analyze its dance movements. Third, analyze Ogwangdaenori (Act 2) and discuss the narrative composition of Goseong Ogwangdae Malttugi Dance. Lastly, compare Goseong Ogwangdae Malttugi Dance with mask dance in other regions based on analyzed dance movements, and then discuss aesthetic characteristics of Goseong Ogwangdae Malttugi Dance. Ogwangdaenori (Act 2) of Goseong Ogwangdae is divided into two scenes, oneis the scene in which Malttugi enters a banquet hall and has a dance, the other is the scene in which he makes a witty remarks and then leaves the stage while dancing. Accordingly, its narrative composition is divided into the introduction·the development·the conclusion. In addition, aesthetic characteristics such as the beauty of satire, the beauty of simplicity, the beauty of comedy, the beauty of humor are much deeply embedded in the dance movements of Goseong Ogwangdae Malttugi Dance, compared to other mask dances in Yeongnam region. Mask dance, which has always been with the Korean people, is a crystal of expressive aesthetics in which the life and thoughts of Koreans are condensed. Among the mask dances that have been transmitted so far, encompassing the life, culture and history of the Korean people, Goseong Ogwangdae Malttugi Dance represents Korea in its outstanding artistry and quality.
