생기적 유물론으로 본 사이버 공간에서의 ‘무용’, ‘체화성’, ‘신체화’에 대한 철학적 논고

본 연구는 생기적 유물론과 포스트휴먼 이론에 근거하여 사이버 공간 내에서 ‘체화성’과 ‘신체화’에 대한 의미를 고찰해보는데 목적을 두었다. 이러한 논제의 쟁점은 무용에서의 ‘움직임 교육’을 유기체인 신체에 한정하지 않고 기계/매체로 확장해 경험의 의미를 새롭게 구상해보는데 있다. 다음의 주요문제들이 논의로 진행되었다. 첫째, 사이버공간에서 신체의 지리적 위치에 대한 구조적 변화가 논의되었다. 둘째, 물질화된 신체가 비물질화된 사이버공간 속에서 어떻게 ‘신체화’된 의미를 지속시킬 수 있는가를 다루었다. 셋째, 무용에서 ‘체현된 신체’가 가지는 교육적 의미와 가상적 경험이 가지는 윤리적 측면에 대해 살펴보았다. 이러한 논의는 사이버공간에서 신체-기계간의 네트워크 방식에 대한 새로운 이면을 구상해보는 계기가 될 것이며 사이버공간에서 창조될 ‘체화성’, ‘신체화’에 대해 확장된 의미를 제시해 보았다는데 학문적 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study aims to consider the meanings of 'embodiment' and 'somatization' in cyber space, based on vital materialism and post-human theory. The issue of such a subject lies in newly scheming the meaning of experiences by extending the 'movement education' in dance to machines/media, not limiting it to the body, an organism. Then, main questions were discussed: First, a structural change in the geographical position of the body in cyber space was discussed. Second, how the materialized body can keep the 'somatized' meaning in non-materialized cyber space. Third, both the educational meaning of 'embodied body' and the ethical aspect of virtual experiences were examined. Such a discussion would provide an opportunity to scheming a new background of the network between bodies and machines in cyber space, and has an academic implication, in that it attempted to suggest the extensive meanings of 'embodiment' and 'somatization', to be created in cyber space.
