이 연구는 젊은 암경험자의 삶에 대한 이해를 목적으로 한다. 이를 위한 연구방법은 내러티브 탐구 방법이며, 4인의 연구참여자로부터 삶 속에서 경험된 살아내는 이야기 (told stories)를 수집하여 분석하였다. 여기서 연구참여자의 암경험의 의미를 제시하는 틀로는 Schlossberg(1984)의 전환 이론을 사용하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 전환의 상황요인에 서는 암경험이 공통적으로 나타났고, 둘째, 자아요인에서는 자기이해가 가장 중요하게 나타났다. 셋째, 지원요인은 전문가 및 의학적 지원(치료)와 가족 및 동료들의 지원이었 고, 넷째, 전환 전략요인은 신체치료, 자기돌봄, 삶의 재조명으로 나타났는데, 이러한 요인들이 젊은 암경험자의 삶의 전환에 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 젊은 암경험자에 대한 이해를 확장할 수 있는 계기를 제공하며, 젊은 암경험자에 대한 인식 개선 및 사회복귀 시스템을 마련하는데 기여하길 바란다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand the lives of young cancer survivors. The research method for this is a narrative inquiry method, and the told stories experienced in life were collected and analyzed from four research participants. To interpret the meaning of the participants' cancer experiences, I used Schlossberg's(1984) Transition Theory. As a result, First, cancer experience was common in Situation of transition. Second, self-understanding was the most important in Self. Third, strong support was provided through medical treatment by professionals, as well as support from family and colleagues in Support. Lastly, this study finds that physical therapy, self-care, and life reevaluation fall under the factor in Strategies. These factors significantly contributed to the life transformation of young cancer survivors. The findings of this study contribute to a broader comprehension of young cancer survivors, facilitating their social reintegration and enhancing the general perception of young cancer survivors.
