사이코드라마의 사회불안치료에 대한 고찰: 정신역동이론 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 정신역동이론의 관점에서 사이코드라마의 사회불안치료 과정에서 작용하는 심리적 메커니즘을 고찰하고, 이를 통해 사이코드라마를 사회불안 치료에 효과적으로 활용할 수 있는 새로운 관점을 제시하고자 한다. 사이코드라마가 안전하고 효과적인 정신치료가 되기 위해서는 단순한 기법적 접근을 넘어서, 증상에 따른 이론적 이해가 필요하다. 사이코드라마는 증상에 따른 병리론이 없으므로 적용 가능한 심리학적 이론을 탐색하기 위해 사이코드라마의 이론에 대한 선행 연구를 조사하였다. 그 결과, 사이코드라마와 가장 유사한 이론은 정신역동이론이었다. 이에 따라, 정신역동이론의 관점에서 사이코드라마가 사회불안치료 과정에서 나타나는 심리적 작용을 이해하기 위해, 선행 연구를 토대로 사이코드라마, 정신역동이론, 그리고 사회불안 간의 관련성을 모색하였다. 이를 바탕으로 사이코드라마의 주요 기법들이 사회불안치료에 미치는 심리적 작용에 대해 정신역동이론을 통하여 고찰하였다. 본 논문은 사이코드라마와 정신역동이론이 사회불안치료를 위해 서로 다른 지향점을 가지고 있지만, 행위를 통한 교정적 정서 경험을 촉진하는 사이코드라마와 증상에 따른 병리적 이해를 제공하는 정신역동이론이 상호작용하여 사회불안치료의 효과를 높이고, 더 나은 치료적 개입을 가능하게 한다는 것을 주장한다. 끝으로 본 연구의 효과성을 실증적으로 검증하기 위한 추가 연구의 필요성과 사이코드라마의 사회불안치료를 위한 심리적 메커니즘을 다면적으로 이해하기 위해 사이코드라마가 사회불안 치료에 미치는 신체적 변화에 대한 연구의 필요성을 제안한다.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the psychological mechanisms at work in the process of treating social anxiety through psychodrama from the perspective of psychodynamic theory, and to present a new perspective on effectively utilizing psychodrama for social anxiety treatment. For psychodrama to be a safe and effective psychotherapy, it requires a theoretical understanding beyond mere technical approaches, tailored to the symptoms. Since psychodrama lacks a pathology based on symptoms, prior research on psychodrama theories was reviewed to explore applicable psychological theories. The results indicated that the theory most similar to psychodrama is psychodynamic theory. Accordingly, to understand the psychological mechanisms that appear in the process of treating social anxiety through psychodrama from the perspective of psychodynamic theory, the relationships among psychodrama, psychodynamic theory, and social anxiety were explored based on prior research. Based on this, the psychological effects of the main techniques of psychodrama on social anxiety treatment were examined through psychodynamic theory. This paper argues that although psychodrama and psychodynamic theory have different orientations for treating social anxiety, the interaction between psychodrama, which promotes corrective emotional experiences through actions, and psychodynamic theory, which provides pathological understanding based on symptoms, enhances the effectiveness of social anxiety treatment and enables better therapeutic interventions. Finally, the need for further research to empirically verify the effectiveness of this study and the necessity of research on the physical changes that psychodrama has on social anxiety treatment to understand the psychological mechanisms of psychodrama for social anxiety treatment from multiple perspectives are suggested.
