한국 사회에서 개인 스마트폰의 보급 확대로 인한 인터넷음란물 사이트나 음란채팅 등에 쉽게 접촉할 기회가 증가함에 따라 성 중독자의 수 역시 더 빨리 그리고 더 많이 늘어나고 있다. 일반적으로 성 중독자는 그릇된 신념으로 인한 자기대화에 의해 성 중독행동을 반복하며 중독에 빠져들게 된다. 성 중독의 치료적 접근은 반드시 기독교상담으로 해야 하는데, 인간은 영적인 존재로 지음 받았기 때문이다. 진리요법은 진리인 성경말씀을 마음속에 깊이 묵상하고 말씀에 근거한 기도생활을 통하여 잘못된 자기대화에서 벗어나 진리에 근거한 새로운 자기대화를 내면에 형성하도록 돕는데 매우 효과적인 방법이다. 본 연구는 William D, Backus가 제시하고 있는 진리요법을 활용하여 성 중독자 치료를 위한 기독교상담 방안을 제시하였다. 이를 위하여 성 중독에 대한 이해와 더불어 기존의 성 중독에 대한 치료방안들을 다면적으로 고찰하였다. 성 중독자 치료에 대한 진리요법을 적용함에 있어서는 회개, 논박과 진리요법, 인지적 재구성과 영적 훈련이라는 단계적 과정이 사용되는데 진리요법의 모든 과정에 있어서 기도와 말씀묵상과 신앙공동체와 같은 신앙요소들이 필수적으로 요구된다. 진리요법을 통해 성 중독자는 중독으로부터의 회복만이 아닌 영원한 삶에 대한 소망도 가지게 될 것이다.
Abstract
Generally, the sex addiction falls into the addiction repeating the sex addiction behavior by the self-talk due to false belief. The therapeutic approach to the sex addiction should be made with christian counseling because the human being is made as spiritual being resembled the spiritual characteristics of God. The truth therapy is very effective method to help forming new self-talk inside based on the truth getting away from the wrong self-talk through mediating the Bible and deep prayer. This study proposed the measure for the treatment of sex addict using the truth therapy suggested by William D. Backus. To do that, existing treatment methods of sex addiction were examined in diverse aspects together with the understanding on the sex addiction. To apply the truth therapy to the treatment of sex addict, the process by step such as the repentance, refutation and truth therapy, cognitive restructuring and the spiritual training are used and in all the processes of truth therapy, the elements of Christian faith such as prayer, meditation of Words, and the community of believer are required essentially. Through the truth therapy, the sex addict not only will recover from the addiction but also will acquire the wish for eternal life.
