한시를 통해 본 학산(鶴山) 이정호(李正浩)의 삶과 학문

Abstract

Haksan (鶴山) Lee Jeongho (李正浩: 1913∼2004), a noted Korean scholar in I-Ching studies and also a philosopher, has set a new milestone for history of Korean I-Ching philosophy (韓國易哲學史). He has left numerous writings behind. Thirteen volumes of Complete Works of Haksan Lee Jeongho (2007) published in 2017 are the exhaustive product of Haksan’s study. Though researches on Haksan’s studies and thoughts have been already initiated, they are not active yet. It would take some more time for comprehensive studies. Haksan holds an unchallenged position in studies of Zheng Yi (正易), which is also called Huchon I-Ching (後天易) and of structural principal of Hunminjeongeum (訓民正音). Thus, writings on his Complete Works are most of philosophy and thoughts. In addition to his studies demonstrated above, he has also left around thirty pieces of Chinese poetry. Though it is not a massive volume, they considerably help to get a sense of Haksan’s personal life, studies and thoughts. As it implies Haksan’s personal aspects that are hard to see in his academic writings, the academic world needs to review his poetry.
