『이게 정말 나일까?』의 치료적 요인들: 얄롬(Yalom)의 치료적 요인을 중심으로

학교, 도서관, 복지관 등 다양한 기관에서 이루어지고 있는 독서치료 프로그램은 집단상담 형식으로 진행되고 있다. R. Rubin이 제시한 ‘발달적 독서치료’의 진행 형태 또한 ‘그룹’이다. 그렇다면 집단 상담 독서치료에서 치료적 효과를 주는 요인이 무엇인지 Irvin Yalom의 집단 정신치료의 치료적 요인들을 중심으로 정리해 보고자 한다. 또한 독서치료는 독서 자료를 주 매개로 진행할 뿐 아니라, 독서 자료에 대한 참가자들의 흥미 여부와 독서 자료가 가진 치료적 힘이 독서치료의 성공 여부에 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서는 Irvin Yalom이 말하는 집단 정신치료에서의 치료적 요인들을 독서 자료에 접목하여 살펴보고자 한다. 독서치료의 3요소 중 하나인 독서 자료가 어떤 치료적 요인을 가지고 있는 지, 그 요인들이 집단 상담 독서 치료에서 어떻게 작용하여 치료 효과를 얻게 되는 지 요시타케 신스케의 그림책『이게 정말 나일까?』를 통해 알아보고자 한다.
Abstract
Bibliotherapy program, practiced in various institutions such as schools, libraries or community centers, mainly takes a group therapy form. ‘Developmental bibliotherapy’ (Rubin, 1978) is used in group settings as well. This paper will discuss the factors related to the therapeutic effect of group bibliotherapy, based on therapeutic factors proposed by Irvin Yalom (2005). Bibliotherapy uses books and stories as a medium, and the successful bibliotherapy relies on interrelated aspects of each participants’ level of interest toward the reading contents and therapeutic potentials that reading contents possess. In this study, therapeutic factors in group psychotherapy (Yalom, 2005) will be thoroughly analyzed in conjunction with reading contents. Therapeutic factors that reading contents, one of the three main elements of bibliotherapy, conceive and how theses factors function and achieve therapeutic effects will be discussed along with a picture book『Can I Build Another Me?』by Yoshitake Shinsuke.
