‘즉흥적 행동을 통한 조형표현’은 비의도적인 상태에서 이루어지는 조형표현의 한 방법으로, 논리적 사고과정을 거치지 않고 즉시적으로 표현되는 성질로 인해, 작가 내면의 감정을 솔직하고 자유롭게 드러낼 수 있는 표현 방법적 측면이다. 이는, 감정을 표현하여 이해를 끌어내는 예술의 궁극적 목표에 다가가기 위한 효과적인 표현 방법 중 하나로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 ‘즉흥적 행동을 통한 조형표현’은 그 의미적 특성에 있어서, 합리적·과학적 사고의 한계를 벗어나 존재론적 사유를 하는 베르그송의 이론과도 밀접한 연관성이 있다. 따라서 베르그송의 지속 이론을 통해 ‘즉흥적 행동을 통한 조형표현’의 의의를, <공간화 된 시간의 표현을 탈피한 새로운 조형표현>, <지속의 두께를 지니는 현재성의 표현>, <잠재적 상태로 존재하는 과거의 총체 표현>, <다양한 질적 창조의 지속으로서의 표현>이라는 네 가지로 분류하여, 미국의 추상표현주의 및 유럽의 앵포르멜 조형표현 사례 분석과 함께 고찰해 보았다. 본 연구는, ‘즉흥적 행동을 통한 조형표현’에 대한 의의를 베르그송의 이론을 통해 재조명하고, 이를 통해 즉흥적 행동을 통한 조형 표현의 응용이 적극 이루어져, 예술의 본질적 목적에 보다 가까이 다가가기 위한 창작의 탐구가 활발히 시도되는데 기여코자 한다.
Abstract
'Plastic art expression through the impromptu action' is one of the methods of molding expressions which was created in un-planned and illogical status and it shows the inner side of artist's energy or emotion without rational thinking process and as a result, we could see the artist's feeling in a frank and free manner. This, the plastic art expression through the impromptu, could be one of the effective expressions ways that are trying to get close to the ultimate goal of art, deriving the artist's pure emotion. The semantic properties of this 'plastic art expression through the imprompt action' which exclude the logical and rational way of thinking have quite close connections with the Bergson's theory that is looking the world in terms of existence theory. Therefore, 'plastic art expression through the impromptu action' based on the Bergson's persistence theory 'La durée' could be classified with the following 4 semantic properties such as <The new expressions escaped from spaced time expressions>, <The express -ions of currency that have thickness of persistence>, <Overall expressions of the past existed in the form of latent state>, <The expressions as the continuity of creations of various quality oriented> and have analyzed together with Abstract Expressionism and Informel. This study would provide the new reason for one of the expression ways that is trying to be close to the real function of art by re-illustrating through the Bergson's theory in order to evaluate the meaning and value of 'plastic art expression through the impromptu action'.
