2022 개정 교육과정 초등학교 통합교과 교과서의발명 관련 내용 분석: 물건, 상상 교과서를 중심으로

이 연구는 2022 개정 교육과정 초등학교 통합교과(즐거운 생활, 슬기로운 생활, 바른 생활) 교과서의 발명교육 내용을 분석하고 향후 개선 및 발전 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 다음 두 가지의 연구 문제를 설정하고 진행하였다. 첫째, 2022 개정 통합교과 교육과정과 교과서에 반영된 발명교육 내용 표준은 무엇인가? 둘째, 초등학교 통합교과와 실과 교육과정은 발명교육 내용에 있어 연계 정도는 어떠한가? 이다. 이를 위해서 통합교과 교과용도서인 ‘물건’과 ‘상상’ 교과서 단원에 대하여 발명교육의 내용적 측면과 연계성 측면을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2022 개정 통합교과의 발명교육 내용을 분석한 결과, ‘물건’ 교과서 단원 중에서 발명교육 내용요소와 관련이 있다고 판단되는 주제는 총 13개(65%)였으며 25개(55.6%)의 발명교육 내용표준 하위 요소와 관련이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 그리고 ‘상상’ 교과서 단원에서 발명교육 내용요소와 관련이 있다고 판단되는 주제는 총 6개(30%)였으며 9개(20%)의 발명교육 내용표준 하위 요소와 관련이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 2022 개정 통합교과 교육과정과 실과 교육과정의 발명교육 내용 연계성을 분석한 결과, 실과에서 강조하고 있는 ‘기술적 문제해결과정’과 ‘다양한 재료와 도구를 활용한 창의적 제품 개발’이 통합교과 슬기로운 생활과의 ‘생활도구의 모양과 기능 탐색’과 ‘다양한 매체와 재료로 상상 구현’과 그 내용에 있어 강조점을 같이하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이 연구를 통해 향후 통합교과 교육과정 및 교과용 도서 개정 시에는 초등학교 발명교육 내용표준 내용 요소가 골고루 충분하게 반영될 수 있도록 고려되어야 하며, ‘삶’과 ‘생활’이라는 교과 본질적 특성에서 맥을 같이하고 있는 통합교과와 실과교과의 연계성을 강화되어야 함을 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the invention education content of the 2022 revised elementary school integrated curriculum (Disciplined Life, Wise Life, Pleasant Life) and suggest future improvement and development directions. To this end, the content and connectivity aspects of invention education were analyzed for the ‘Objects’ and ‘Imagination’ textbooks, which are textbooks for the integrated curriculum. First, as a result of analyzing the invention education content of the 2022 revised integrated curriculum, a total of 13 (65%) topics were judged to be related to invention education content elements in the ‘Objects’ textbook unit, and 25 (55.6%) were analyzed to be related to the invention education content standard sub-elements. In addition, a total of 6 (30%) topics were judged to be related to invention education content elements in the ‘Imagination’ textbook unit, and 9 (20%) were found to be related to invention education content standard sub-elements. Second, as a result of analyzing the connection between the invention education contents of the revised 2022 integrated curriculum and the practical arts curriculum, it was found that the ‘technical problem-solving process’ and ‘creative product development using various materials and tools’ emphasized in the practical arts have the same contents and emphases as the ‘exploration of the shape and function of living tools’ and ‘realization of imagination using various media and materials’ of the integrated curriculum Wise Life. Through this study, it was confirmed that when revising the integrated curriculum and textbooks in the future, the content elements of the elementary school invention education content standards should be sufficiently reflected, and the connection between the integrated curriculum and practical arts subjects, which share the same essential characteristics of ‘life’ and ‘living’, should be strengthened.
