초록

So far it has been generally considered thatproteomic approaches are very useful for studying plantmicrobesinteraction. In this review, recent studies based onpapers published from 2010 to 2013 have investigatedproteomics analysis in various interaction during plant-fungalpathogen infection by means of gel-based proteomics coupledwith mass spectrometry (MS)-based analysis. In rice, threepapers focused on rice- Magnaporthe oryzae interactionwere mainly reviewed in this study. Interestingly, anotherstudy showed proteomic changes in rice inoculated withPuccinia triticina, which is not only an fungal pathogen inwheat and but also results to the disease resistance withnon-host defense manner in rice. Additionally, proteomicsanalysis has been widely subjected to understand defensemechanism during other crops (wheat, tomato, strawberryand mint) and their fungal pathogen interaction. Cropsinoculated are analyzed to identify differentially regulatedproteins at various tissues such as leaf and apoplast using2-DE analysis coupled with various MS approaches such asMALDI-TOF MS, nESI-LC-MS/MS and MudPIT, respectively. Taken together, this review article shows that proteomics isapplicable to various organisms to understand plant-fungalpathogen interaction and will contribute to provide importantinformation for crop disease diagnosis and crop protection
