초록
For Nietzsche, the life as overman is a life of an artist who wants to create a higher self. Nietzsche defines the concept of ‘art’ as activities of creation in a wide sense covering all realities of men and says that the art leads one to carry out consistent self-conquest. Furthermore, art of life is a declaration of the new spirit of art claiming that the life itself and an artist's activity itself can be works of art and it promotes changes of a new view on the world. Nietzsche sees that the world is not an unchanging and fixed being but it is rather an interpretation. Likewise, the horizon of the meaning of life is a result from a test of meaning given to overman who can freely change himself. Now we must construct art of life which can sustain us despite the confusion in diverse and self-contradictory values. Art of life is not something given. It is being created in the process of self-construction of overman that has been formed in the process of overcoming the life. So it can provide a certain direction and strength in terms of setting up the meaning of life, the method, and detailed behavioral modes.
