이 글은 삶과 죽음에 대한 두 가지 인지적 접근 방식인 개념적 은 유 이론과 범주적 은유 이론을 통해 두 이론 사이의 접근 방식의 상이점 을 파악하는 데 그 목적이 있었다. 그 논의 결과를 정리하면, 먼저 개념적 은유 이론이 고립된 경험에 기반하고 범위가 제한된 은유적 통찰을 제공 하는 경향이 있음에 비해, 범주적 은유 이론은 인간 경험이나 물리적 세 계의 전체 영역을 포괄적으로 이해하는 데 사용되는 경향이 있었다. 다음 으로 개념적 은유 이론은 그들 사이의 유기적 관계를 찾기에는 부족해 보 였고 범주적 은유 이론은 범주 내 전이나 범주 내 층위화의 문제는 해결 되어야 할 부분으로 남아 있다.
Abstract
This paper aims to identify the differences in approaches between the two cognitive approaches to life and death, Conceptual Metaphor Theory and Categorical Metaphor Theory. To summarize the results of the discussion, first, while Conceptual Metaphor Theory tends to provide metaphorical insights based on isolated experiences and with a limited scope, Categorical Metaphor Theory tends to be used to comprehensively understand the entire domain of human experience or the physical world. Second, Conceptual Metaphor Theory seems to be insufficient in finding organic relationships between them, and Categorical Metaphor Theory still has issues of intra-category transfer or intra-category stratification to be resolved.
