고등학생이 지각한 부모의 양육태도와 학생의 자아존중감 및 진로결정과의 관계

본 연구는 고등학생이 지각한 부모의 양육태도와 학생의 자아존중감 및 진로결정간에 어떤 관련이 있는지를 살펴봄으로써 고등학생의 자아정체감 및 진로정체감 형성을 돕기 위한 부모-자녀간 진로교육 프로그램 개발 및 상담적 개입을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 그 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 경기도 P시에 소재한 인문계 고등학교 2학년 남녀학생 240명을 연구대상으로 지각된 부모양육태도검사, 자아존중감검사, 진로결정수준검사, 그리고 진로정체감검사를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 고등학생의 자아존중감은 어머니의 수용적 태도만이 자아존중감과 유의미한 상관이 있었다. 둘째, 고등학생의 자아존중감과 진로결정, 진로정체감과는 모두 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모양육태도와 진로결정, 진로정체감과는 모두 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 부모양육태도와 진로결정, 진로정체감과의 중다회귀분석 결과 아버지와 어머니 수용적 태도가 고등학생의 진로결정, 진로정체감을 유의미하게 예언하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 상호작용측면에서 아버지의 수용적 태도와 어머니의 수용적 태도는 진로결정, 진로정체감에 상호작용 효과가 높았다. 또한 어머니의 수용적 태도와 자율적 태도가 상호작용할 경우 진로정체감이 높아지는 것으로 나타났으며, 반대로 아버지의 경우는 진로정체감이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 통해서 부모의 어떠한 자녀 양육태도가 고등학생의 진로결정을 촉진하는지에 대하여 제언하고 있다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between parental attitude, self-esteem, and career decision perceived by high school students. For these purposes, the magnitude of parental attitude, self-esteem, career-related variables was measured for 240 high school students(112 boys, 128 girls) in Pyungtaek city in Gyunggi province, Korea. The Statistical methods employed for data analysis were used in correlation analysis, Pearson multiple-regression by SPSS(Win for 11.0) program. The results of this study were as follows: First, there was no significantly meaningful correlation between father's attitude(acceptance-autonomy), mother's autonomy attitude, and self-esteem. Only mother's attitude(acceptance) showed significantly meaningful correlation(r=.133, p<.05). Second, there was significantly meaningful correlation between self-esteem and career decision variables. Third, there was significantly meaningful correlation between parental attitude (acceptance-autonomy) and career decision variables (r=.184, p<.05, r=-.203, p<.01, r=.262, p<.05). Fourth, in terms of career decision variables, father's attitude(acceptance) and mother's attitude(acceptance-autonomy) were significantly meaningful correlation. These findings contribute to our understanding of parental attitude for self-esteem, and career decision of high school students. Implications for the development of parental career decision intervention programs and suggestions for future research are discussed.
