여성결혼이민자의 건강 관련 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인

본 연구는 다문화가족지원센터를 이용하는 여성결혼이민자 284명을 대상으로 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하여 삶의 질 향상을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 수행되었다. 연구결과 여성결혼이민자들의 삶의 질은 신체적, 심리적, 사회적, 환경적 영역의 네 가지 영역 모두 ‘보통’ 수준을 약간 넘어서는 정도였으나, 신체적 영역보다 사회적, 환경적 영역의 점수가 상대적으로 낮았다. 각 영역별로 삶의 질에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석해 본 결과, 직업이 있고, 시부모와 동거하지 않으며, 도시에 거주할수록 삶의 질이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 향후 여성결혼이민자들의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 홍보강화, 일자리 알선, 한국문화교육, 남편 및 시부모 교육, 다문화가족지원센터를 통한 사회적 교류 활동기회 부여, 교육 및 의료서비스 이용에 있어 방문사업 활성화 및 이용료 감면 혜택 부여 등 제도적 개선방안을 적극 모색할 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 중앙 및 지방정부, 시민사회단체, 교육 및 의료기관 간의 유기적 협조체계가 구축될 필요가 있으며, 이를 통해 여성결혼이민자들이 빠른 시간 내에 한국 사회의 일원으로 건강하게 통합될 수 있도록 지속적인 노력이 전개되어야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate the factors which affect the quality of life(QOL) of female immigrants who married Korean men The QOL of 4 domains of physical, psychological, social and environmental health was measured by Likert 5-point scale, and the data were collected from 284 female immigrants who have visited Support Center for Multi-cultural Families through self-questionnaire survey. The average score of the QOL of female immigrants was 3.4 which is a little higher than the moderate level. The 3 main factors that have negative effects on the QOL of female immigrants were unemployment, living with parents-in-law, and living in rural area. These study results imply that we need to enhance the job search program for female immigrants, education program for their husbands and parents-in-laws, social networking among female immigrants, and providing medical and information services, etc. For the purpose of it, it is recommended to integrate and coordinate the support programs implemented by the central and local governments, community institutions, and volunteers.
