Abstract
The Very Early Education and Parents PerceptionsHwang, Hae-Shin Sangmyung UniversityMany parents in Korea let their children have so-called very early education and manypeople worry about the negative effects of very early education. This study examined thecurrent practices and parents’ perceptions of very early education. Questionnaires developed bythe researcher were presented to 700 parents whose children are less than 7 years old. Theresearch used 626 returned questionnaires to analyze the data. Major findings on very earlyeducation are as follows; Most of the parents spend about 100,000-200,000 won per month fortheir children’s early education.
