국가정보환경 변화에 따른 안보 의식조사 결과 분석 - 대학생의 방첩의식을 중심으로 -

본 연구는 냉전체제의 붕괴 이후 국가정보환경의 변화 속에서 안보의식, 특히 방첩에관한 대학생들의 의식조사 결과를 분석하기 위한 시도로 진행되었다. 연구 결과 한국의 대학생들은 방첩의 의미를 정확하게 파악하고 있지는 않았으나, 방첩의 필요성에는 공감하는 양상을 보였다. 특히 정보환경의 변화에 따라 적성국가뿐 아니라 우방국가들도 스파이 활동의 가능성이 있다고 응답하였다. 그러나 스파이 활동을 목격하였거나 경험하였을 경우 어떻게 대처해야 하는지에 대한 정확한 정보는 갖고 있지 못한것으로 나타났다. 응답자들은 군사 안보를 가장 우선시하였고, 다음으로 경제 안보와사이버 안보를 지목하였다. 한편 응답자들의 대부분은 정보환경이 변화하였지만, 여전히 국가정보기관의 존속 필요성에는 공감하였고, 특히 국가정보원을 중심으로 다양한 홍보를 통해 방첩활동이 수행되어야 함을 강조하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analysis students’ perception of security,particularly of counter-intelligence, in the changes of security surroundings after the Cold War. The survey result confirms that students recognize the needs for counterintelligence. Though they do not appear to understand the meaning of counterintelligence,they answer that not only enemy but also alliance may involved in intelligence activities. According to the survey, however, students have little knowledge to counter intelligence activities. The most important security sector, according to the respondents, is military security, which is followed by economic and cyber securities. Despite the changing security surroundings, most respondents agree to maintain an intelligence service. They also underline that counter-intelligence activities mainly conducted by the National Intelligence Service.
