본 연구는 I광역시 G대학병원 호흡기병동에서 성인환자(실험군 20명, 대조군 20명)를 대상으로 음악요법 중재가 늑막천자 환자의 불안과 불편감에 미치는 효과를 규명하기 위하여 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/PC+ Win 14.0 Version을 이용하여 χ²-test, t-test, Pearson's Correlation으로 분석하였으며 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, “음악요법 중재를 받은 실험군은 음악요법 중재를 받지 않은 대조군보다 VAS불안점수가 낮을 것이다.”를 검정한 결과 VAS 불안점수는 실험군이 대조군보다 유의하게 낮았다. 둘째, “음악요법 중재를 받은 실험군은 음악요법 중재를 받지 않은 대조군보다 주관적 불편감 점수가 낮을 것이다.”를 검증한 결과 주관적 불편감점수는 실험군이 대조군보다 유의하게 낮았다. 셋째, “음악요법 중재를 받은 실험군은 음악요법 중재를 받지 않은 대조군보다 객관적 불편감 점수가 낮을 것이다.”를 검증한 결과 객관적 불편감점수는 실험군과 대조군간에 차이가 없었다. 넷째, “상태불안과 불편감 간에는 순상관관계가 있을 것이다.”를 검증한 결과 VAS 불안과 주관적 불편감, 객관적 불편감간에 순상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결론을 토대로 음악요법이 늑막천자 환자의 불안 완화와 안위를 증진시키는 간호중재의 한 방법으로 간호영역에서 적극 활용되기를 기대하며 동시에 반복연구를 제언한다.
Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of music therapy on the anxiety and distress in patients taking thoracentesis. Methods: The quasi-experimental design was used with a nonequivalent control group pre-post test time series. Participatns were divided into the experimental (n=20) or control group (n=20). Music therapy was given to the experimental group with a CD that was made by the investigator by themes. The research tools included the VAS Anxiety Inventory, and the Subjective and Objective Distress Inventory. Data were analyzed using SPSS 14.0 program by χ2-test and t-test. Results: There were statistically significant differences in state (VAS) anxiety and subjective distress between two groups. Conclusion: The music therapy was effective in reducing the anxiety and subjective distress of patients taking thoracentesis. In the future, music therapy will be useful in the field of nursing as a nursing intervention to alleviate stress and enhance well-being.
