Abstract
This research analyzed the results of survey on Korean renewable energy policy among experts in governmental, academic, and entrepreneurial sectors (triple helix). Through the analysis, perceptual differences of triple helix have been identified. Governmental sector accentuates renewable heat obligation (RHO), while academic sector focuses on renewable facility obligation and firms focus on subsidies relatively. Anyway they all deeply recognize the necessity of renewable portfolio standard (RPS). In terms of effectiveness, experts appreciate RPS and renewable facility obligation. Instead, they underestimate the needs of RHO and renewable fuel standard (RFS). Experts from government and universities better recognize the objective of renewable energy policy than experts from firms do. Experts in universities are targeting at the exact objective of renewable energy policy, while experts in governments are targeting higher and experts in firms targeting lower. Therefore, it is identified that the diffusion of Korean renewable energy system is mainly driven by government.
