리쾨르가 주목한 시적 명령법은 새로운 가능성을 내포한 창조적 긴장을 담고 있다. 그는 이것을 ‘의지의 시학’이라 했다. 의지의 시학은 고난과 위기를 극복할 새로운 ‘가능한 인간상’을 담고 있다. 그는 왜 이런 철학에 관심을 가지게 되었는가? 그는 부모를 일찍 여였고 5년 동안의 포로수용소 생활을 통해 비존재의 무거움을 맛봤다. 한계상황 속에 있는 인간의 죽음이나 고통을 다룬 야스퍼스 연구가 그의 첫 철학 저서다. 그는 존재의 정체성 위기에 맞서 자기 해석학을 철학의 중심 주제로 설정했고, 자기 비움이 바로 가장 귀한 사랑의 선물 경륜이라는 것을 체험했다. 그의 자기 해석학은 오늘날 우리 시대에 가장 큰 문제점인 코로나-19가 가져온 존재 상실, 삶의 파괴, 관계성 훼손 등이 가져온 팬데믹 생존 위기를 극복할 대안으로 제시될 수 있다. ‘의지의 시학’이 대안 제시인지 서두에서 살핀 다음, 본론에서 그것의 세 가지 내용들을 설명할 것이며 결론에서 그것의 의미나 가치에 대해 평가할 것이다. 결론은 분명하다. 코로나-19로 말미암은 위기 속에서 자기 정체성, 인간 존재의 정체성을 세울 수 있는 가능 근거와 필요성이 리쾨르의 의지의 시학에 있음을 보이는 것이다.
Abstract
In this article, I draw attention to the poetic imperative of Ricoeur out of which arises a creative tension of new possibilities for the modern-day society. Ricoeur refers to Rosenzweig’s logic of “trans-creation”, which discusses the dispensation of God’s gift of creation, the “It was good” according to Genesis 1:31. Creation is the overflow of the gift of love. Our society is urged to practice its knowledge of it. Without the Korean society providing practical solutions to the loss of meaning and the destruction of life and relationships due to COVID-19, it will continue to remain in the center of blame. Our society is called to re-establish and to re-affirm their identity instead of losing ground in fear. Death is nothing new to human beings but the rightful sentence for sinners. We must affirm our identity as a true neighbor in times of fear and hardship. This time demands the kenosis of Jesus and the dispensation of love, more than ever.
