1998년 구더(Darrell L. Guder)의 Missional Church: A vision for the sending of the Church in North America를 계기로 본격적으로 전 세계에 소개된 선교적 교회(Missional Church)는 사 반세기가 지나고 있는 작금에는 교회론에 대한 새로운 운동으로 자리매김하고 있다. 그동안 미주를 중심으로 일어나고 있는 대안적 교회들이 나름대로 자기시대 정황을 대변하며 성쇠흥폐(盛衰興廢)를 반복하는 반면, 선교적 교회는 탄탄히 자기 신학의 토대를 쌓으며 그 영향력을 지역교회의 수준으로 확대하고 있다. 2010년 초중반이 지나면서 한국교회도 지역 상황에 맞는 선교적 교회를 본격적으로 논의하기 시작하였고, 지역교회 수준에서 적용하려는 움직임이 생기고 있다. 그러나 선교적 교회가 하나님의 선교(Missio Dei)를 근간으로 한 점과 이 운동이 에큐메니컬 진영에서 먼저 그리고 활발하게 진행되고 있다는 점에서 개혁교회들은 아직 의구심을 거두지 못하고 있다. 선교적 교회 운동은 세계 선교의 흐름과 결을 같이 하고 있어 무시할 수 없는 상황이다. 최근 선교적 교회가 초기 때보다 자기 신학을 공교하게 만들고 있음에도 불구하고 개혁교회 안에서 선교적 교회를 신학적으로 재해석하는 작업은 미비하다. 이러한 의미에서, 본 논문은 개혁교회가 선교적 교회를 교회 수준에서 적용할 수 있는 신학적 범위(guide line)를 제시했다.
Abstract
The Missional Church, which was introduced to the world in earnest starting with Darrell L. Guder's Missional Church: A vision for the sending of the Church in North America in 1998, is now establishing itself as a new movement in ecclesiology after a quarter-century. Meanwhile, while various alternative churches emerging around the Americas represent the circumstances of their times and repeat the rise and fall, the missional church is building a solid foundation for its theology and exerting its influence at the level of a local church. As the early and mid-2010s passed, Korean churches also began to discuss in earnest missional church suited to local conditions, and as the second half of 2010 passed, there was a movement to apply missional church at the level of local churches. However, given that the missional church is based on Missio Dei and this movement is being carried out first and actively in the ecumenical camp, churches along the Reformed line can still not relinquish their doubts. Nevertheless, the missionary church movement is in line with the flow of world missions and cannot be ignored. This is the situation in which Reformed churches that have sensed the flow of missions is changing are already applying the missional church to local churches. Although the missional church has recently become more sophisticated in its theology than in the early days, the work to reinterpret the missional church theologically within the Reformed Church is still insufficient. In this sense, this paper seeks to create a theological guideline by which the Reformed Church can apply the missional church at the local church level.
