초등 교사의 AI 활용 교육 실천은 어떻게 전문성 개발로 이어지는가?

본 연구는 초등 교사의 AI 활용 교육 전문성 개발 과정을 질적으로 탐색하여, 교사들이 AI 기술을 어떻게 이해하고수용하며 교육적 실천으로 발전시키는지를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 AI를 적극적으로 활용하는 초등교사를 대상으로 반구조화된 인터뷰를 수행하였으며, Labov의 내러티브 분석과 Spradley의 문화기술적 분석을 적용하여AI 활용 교육의 경험을 심층적으로 탐구하였다. 연구 결과, 교사들은 AI 교육을 도입하는 과정에서 개인적 동기와정책적 요구를 함께 고려하며, AI를 맞춤형 학습 지원, 창의적 활용, 평가 및 분석, 사고 촉진, 융합 교육 등의 방식으로활용하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, AI 활용 교육 과정에서 교사들은 기술적 부담, 학생들의 AI 의존성, 학습 격차심화, 정책적 제약 등의 도전 과제에 직면하였으며, 이를 해결하기 위해 교과 연계 수업 설계, 교사 간 협업 및 연수, 비판적 사고력 강화 등의 전략을 활용하였다. 본 연구는 AI 활용이 교사의 역할을 학습 조력자 및 교육 설계자로변화시키며, AI 활용 교육이 기술 중심의 접근이 아니라 교수설계 역량과 교육적 맥락을 고려해야 함을 시사한다. 또한, AI 교육이 학습 격차를 해소하는 동시에 새로운 격차를 초래할 가능성이 있음을 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로본 연구에서는 AI 활용 교육의 효과적인 실행을 위해 교사 연수 및 정책적 지원이 필수적임을 제언하였다.
Abstract
This study qualitatively explores elementary school teachers' professional development in AI-integrated education, examining their perceptions and implementation practices. Using semi-structured interviews from teachers actively utilizing AI, the research applied Labov's narrative and Spradley's ethnographic analyses. Findings show teachers integrate AI based on personal motivations and policy demands, using it for personalized learning, creative applications, assessment, cognitive facilitation, and interdisciplinary learning. Challenges included technological burdens, student AI dependency, widening learning gaps, and policy constraints. Teachers addressed these through curriculum integration, teacher collaboration, and strengthening students' critical thinking. Findings also revealed that AI implementation transforms teachers from knowledge transmitters to learning facilitators and instructional designers, requiring pedagogical design competencies beyond technical skills. While AI can reduce educational gaps, it may also increase disparities, highlighting the need for structured teacher training and policy support for effective implementation.
