지체장애인의 자아존중감 개선을 위한 중재방법들의 효과 분석

이 연구에서는 지체장애인의 자아존중감과 관련하여, 지체장애인의 자아존중감 발달 모형을 제시하여 자아존중감 중재의 중요성에 대하여 알아보고, 국내에서 어떤 중재 연구가 이루어져 왔는지를 조사하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 지체장애인의 자아존중감에 관한 총 62편의 학술지 논문이 검색되었으며, 그 중에서 7편의 연구에서 지체장애인의 자아존중감에 대한 여러 가지 중재의 효과가 연구되었다. 결과적으로, 중재 방법들의 평균 효과 크기는 1.435로서 매우 효과적이었으며 중재 방법으로서는, 미술 활동, 원예 활동, 스포츠 활동 그리고 심리상담 등이 이루어져 왔다. 기존 연구들의 한계점을 바탕으로, 지체장애인의 자아존중감 향상을 통해 그들의 적극적인 사회 참여와 독립을 위해서는 지체장애인의 자아존중감에 관련된 증거기반의 실제가 될 수 있는 과학적 연구가 충분하게 이루어져야 하며, 그러한 연구를 통하여 지체장애인의 자아존중감을 향상시킬 수 있는 핵심 요소가 무엇인지를 밝혀내고 이러한 핵심 요소들을 실제 중재 내용에 반영한 다양한 중재프로그램을 개발하고 실천해야 한다.
Abstract
The objects of this study were to examine the importance of self - esteem mediation by presenting a self - esteem development model of the physically handicapped and to analyze the current status of intervention studies about self - esteem of the physically disabled in Korea. A total of 62 journals related to the self - esteem of the physically handicapped were searched. In seven of them, the effects of various interventions on the self - esteem of the physically disabled were studied. As a results, The mean effect size of the intervention methods was very effective as 1.435. The intervention methods were art activities, horticultural activities, sports activities, and psychological counseling. Based on the limitations of the existing studies, it is necessary that scientific researches that can be evidence-based practice related to the self-esteem of disabled people should be made sufficiently for their active social participation and independence through improvement of self-esteem of persons with disabilities, Through such research, it is necessary to identify the key factors that can improve the self - esteem of individuals with physical disabilities and to develop and implement various intervention programs reflecting these core elements in actual intervention contents.
