부모갈등이 청소년의 정서적 부조화 및 행동문제에 미치는 영향

초록

본 연구에서는 청소년을 대상으로 부모갈등차원을 규명하고, 청소년의 정서적 부조화 및 행동문제에 영향을 미치는 요인들의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 요인분석 결과, 부모갈등차원은 부모의 갈등적 속성, 청소년이 인지한 위협과 자기비난으로 구성되었다. Sobel test를 적용하여 정서적 부조화 매개모형을 검증한 결과 예측변수인 갈등적 속성만 독립변수로 포함하였을 때와 예측변수와 매개변수를 모두 포함하였을 때의 갈등적 속성의 β값은 감소하였다. 이는 위협과 자기비난이 매개효과가 있다는 것을 말해 준다. Sobel’s Z-value로 매개효과의 통계적 유의성을 검증한 결과 p<0.00 수준에서 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 매개효과를 백분율로 산출하면 갈등적 속성과 정서적 부조화 간 관계의 56%는 위협과 자기비난에 의해 설명되는 것으로 파악되었다. 행동문제 모형에서도 예측변수만 독립변수로 포함하였을 때와 예측변수와 매개변수 모두를 포함하였을 때 위협과 자기비난의 β값은 감소하여 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 정서적 부조화가 행동문제에 미치는 매개효과는 42%인 것으로 측정되었다. 본 연구결과는 정서적 부조화나 행동문제를 다룰 때 모든 청소년을 동질적 집단으로 간주하기보다 청소년이 인지한 부모갈등차원의 구조와 속성에 따라 정서적 부조화 및 행동문제와 관련된 상담 및 치료교육의 적용방향도 달라야 한다는 것을 보여주고 있다.

Abstract

Research on the mechanisms by which interparental conflict affects behavior and emotional depression of adolescent suggests that both parenting and children’s conflict appraisals play important roles, but few studies have explored the cause and effect relationship between interparental conflict and adolescent behavior and emotional depression. The adolescent’s perception of interparental conflict scale was administered to assess the adolescent’s appraisals of interparental conflict. Respondents were completed the scale as a measure of conflict characteristics and their subject response to conflict. The scale consists of 22 items and yields three subscales by principle component analysis with varimax rotation: conflict properties, threat, self-blame. To test mediation models based on Sobel test for emotional depression and behavior problems, regression analysis was performed taking threat and self-blame as mediate variables. Findings indicated that threat and self-blame mediated the association between conflict properties and emotional depression. Also, emotional depression play an important role as mediator in understanding the impact of threat and self-blame on behavior problem. Based on the findings of this study, similarities and differences in the influencing factors for the emotional depression and behavior problem are discussed, and implications for the adolescent and parents are provided.
