Abstract

The recent rapid development of the media has greatly our society overall, bringing up much change in our life. The world has become able to communicate each other in one space through various media and through this, we have become able to share cultures of each country. Thus the recent culture is shared by majority of the people from different countries through various media and has emerged as a new different culture. Due to this phenomenon, the cases of borrowing other cultures by the world’s best designers are found in large quantities in the fashion area too, and the fast fashion of multi-national corporations are already encroaching upon the world market. Thus, the necessity for the Korean-type of design based on the identity of our culture has become much more urgent. The fashion is something that appears in the image of the environment where the designer belongs showed as various types of clothes, and through these, the fashion communicates with the customers. The understanding of the culture where the designer belongs is very important to development a unique design of the modern fashion. This research intend to develop the woman's wear design, range of 35∼45 years old, utilizing the aesthetic value that shows in the windows and doors of the Korean traditional house from the Joseon Dynasty that was influenced by the environment and culture of the era. The results of this research are as follows. First, The development of the woman's wear design utilizing the aesthetic characteristics that show in the walls and doors and windows of traditional Korean houses is more than enough to create modern design. Second, The develop various and creative types of items by utilizing the aesthetic values which are nonstructure, roughness, naturalness, shape of lines and shapes from the walls, and Ja-kyung, Cha-kyung, Jang-kyung, Jung-chup, collage, framed, roll screen, rice paper from doors and windows of the Korean traditional houses. Third, we can develop various modern woman's wear designs according to the representation method, printing, embroidery, material, texture, 3-dimensional structure, weaving, overlapping to create the images from the walls and doors and windows of the Korean traditional houses. Fourth, The development of the woman's wear design utilizing the aesthetic characteristics from the walls and doors and windows of the Korean traditional houses extend the choice for the customers and the territory of fashion businesses. The superiority of our culture by developing the design utilizing the aesthetic characteristics that show in the wall and doors and windows of Korean houses can contribute to create modern design for the globalera.
