결혼초기 부부의 결혼만족도와 안정성에 관련된 요인

Factors Influencing Marital Satisfaction and Stability with Young Couples

초록

본 연구는 상황요인, 인성특성 요인, 의사소통 요인이 결혼초기 부부의 결혼만족도와 안정성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 남편과 아내를 대상으로 살펴보아 그 결과를 부부교육 및 상담에 필요한 기초적 자료로 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 청주시에 있는 5개의 어린이집을 선정하여 어린이집에 다니는 자녀를 둔 결혼생활 7년 이하의 부부를 대상으로 하였다. 자료는 질문지 조사방법으로 각 어린이집의 교사로부터 가정으로 남편용과 아내용으로 구분하여 한 유아에게 2부씩 배부한 질문지를 부모님들이 각각 작성한 후 밀봉하여 어린이집에 제출한 것을 연구자가 회수하는 방법으로 수집되었다. 질문지는 아내용 200부와 남편용200부, 총 400부를 배부하여 아내용 171부와 남편용 159부가 회수되었으며 이 중에서 내용이 부실하게 작성되었거나 분석에 부적합한 자료를 제외하고 부부 모두가 작성한 155쌍의 질문지, 310부(응답률은 78%)를 최종적으로 연구에 이용하였다. 본 연구에서 수집된 자료는 SPSSWIN 프로그램을 이용하여 다중회귀분석으로 분석되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 결혼초기 부부의 결혼만족도와 안정성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보면, 아내는 상황 요인에서 결혼 전 상황과 부모의 결혼 생활에 영향을 받았고, 인성특성 요인에서 남편의 문제점, 의사소통 요인에서는 부정적, 요구-회피적 의사소통 요인에 영향을 받았다. 남편은 상황적 요인에 따라서는 유의한 영향이 나타나지 않았으며 인성특성 요인에서 본인의 감정적 불안정성, 의사소통 요인에서 긍정적 의사소통이 영향을 미쳤다.

Abstract

This study explored the relative importance of contextual, personal, and interactional factors for marital satisfaction and stability. Subjects consisted of 155 couples with preschool children, drawn from five different preschools. For wives, marital satisfaction was predicted by parental satisfaction and communication; factors affecting marital stability included premarital problems, perception of husband's neuroticism, and communication. Husbands' marital satisfaction was predictedby parental satisfaction, personal neuroticism, and communication the only factor affecting marital stability for men was marital satisfaction.
