Abstract
In this study, Using the mmpi-2 results of 87 criminals who were subjected to probation under the ‘ACT ON PUNISHMENT OF CRIME OF STALKING’, I classified pathological personality types and analyzed the moderating effect of Sexism on mental health of stalker. First, I performed pathological personality type classification by Latent Profile Analysis (LPA) method using the PSY-5 scale of the MMPI-2. Types were classified into ‘Unstructured group’, ‘Psychiatric group’, ‘Anger-impulse group’, and ‘Apathy group’. Next, I conducted ANOVA analysis on the clinical scale and clinical subscales according to the type. The ‘Apathy group’ is most likely to suffer from clinical problems. Next, the ‘Psychiatric group’ is experiencing psychological discomfort. The ‘Anger-impulse group’ does not reveal psychological discomfort, but it is experiencing interpersonal conflict and is easily threatening in stressful situations. On the other hand, the ‘Unstructured group’ did not show pathological characteristics. Lastly, I analyzed the moderating effect of sexism using a Korea Multiple Sexism Inventory (K-MSI) test. As a result of using the Johnson-Neyman technique, it was confirmed that the higher sexism of ‘Apathy group’, the more paranoia symptoms appeared. Accordingly, it is possible to try an approach to prevent recidivism through strengthening gender equality consciousness and socialization training for stalker who do not have intimate relationship experience or are chronically experiencing social isolation. This study has a limitation in that it is difficult to generalize the research results due to the small number of samples. Nevertheless, it is significant in that it attempted a realistic approach to psychological characteristics for the first time using the empirical data of stalker.
