학봉의 누정시를 통해 본 선비 정신 연구

Abstract

This paper is an attempt to illustrate the spirit of the true human in the arbor poetry of Hakbong(학봉). He was a prominent disciple of Toegye(퇴계) and took the lead in succeeding the education and practice of the teacher. The education at that time recognized the cultivation of virtue and the academic achievement as equal weight. He thought that it was important not to teach theoretical disciplines but to educate the right people. There is a friend in his poem, not a simple friend. He respects his friends personally and reflects his life. He and his friends hoped to be a right and peaceful world. Their hope is contained in his poetry. He and his friends had the same purpose of life, and the way of life was the same. He expressed his clear and noble mind in poetry. His poem soon reflected his life. Therefore, his clear poetry expressed his clean life and character. And in his mind was loyalty to the country. It is from this that the loyalty to the country appears well in his poetry. His patriotism, which loves the country, expressed the suffering of ordinary soldiers in poetry. In his poem, he expressed the loyalty and the righteousness of the noble person who is wearing the sword.
