Abstract

This study aimed to examine the current status, functionality, and future prospects of mental health applications (MHapps) available for download from IOS-based Apple App Store. A total of 763 apps were identified using 18 keywords, and applications were selected through cross-checking based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The final analysis included 174 MHapps, which were categorized according to their features. The analysis revealed five major functional categories encompassing 51 specific functions. Representative examples of MHapps were highlighted, and their potential implications for mental health support were discussed. Additionally, the study outlined key considerations for the use of MHapps, identified research limitations, and proposed directions for future studies.
