서사시에 나타난 방법적 특성 -모윤숙의 <황룡사구층탑>을 중심으로-

Abstract

This thesis aims to study the methodological characteristics that are described in epic poetry centering on "Hwangryongsaguchungtap", an epic poem of Mo Yoon Suk. Basically, looking at general characteristics of epic poems, this study is mainly to focus on a new research of Korean epic poetry by examining the methodological characteristics in detail on 'Hwangryongsaguchungtap' of Mo Yoon Sook. Especially, it is stressed on the characteristics of a narrative form and a theatrical possibility. In the narrative form and theatrical possibility of her epic poetry, it is found that her epic poem truly submitted to an epic genre, and simultaneously, opened the possibility into new epic poetry. Through this study, it is discovered that her epic poems are taken place as a signature of her literature. In this respect, this study shows that methodological characteristics of the epic poem on 'Nine Level Tower of Hwangryong Temple' and as a result, the theatrical possibility with a complex narrative form that could be played on stage is found. With the development of characters and events as narrations, characters' actions and events as directions in drama, and a stage background and a crowd as a chorus, "the Nine Level Tower of Hwangryong Temple" can be evaluated into an epic poem that has the theatrical possibility blinded with epic, lyric, and dramatic poetry through multi-narrators and a tales-employed method.
