본 연구는 기업의 제품 재고관리에 있어서 보충기반의 재고관리 방식과 예측기반의 재고관리 방식을 비교하여 어느 방식이 적정수준의 재고를 운영함으로써 결품을 줄이고 재고유지비용을 최소화하는지 분석하였다. 특히 제품수명주기가 짧아 수요의 변동성이 높은 하이테크 산업에 속하는 가전 제조업체의 사례 자료를 적용하여 실증적인 연구가 되도록 하였으며, 시스템다이내믹스 기반의 시뮬레이션 도구를 사용하여 적정재고 운영을 위한 모델링을 하고 결과를 분석하였다. 그 결과 결품률 측면에서는 보충방식이 보다 유리한 것으로 분석되었으며, 평균 재고수준은 보충방식과 예측방식이 비슷한 것으로 평가되었다. 본 연구의 재고관리 모델을 활용하여 기업에서 재고기법을 적용하기 전에 기업의 사정에 의한 여러 가지 전제조건에 따라 시뮬레이션을 하여 재고관리 기법을 적용한다면 실무에서 재고운영의 리스크를 감소하는 데 사용하는 효율적인 도구가 될 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This paper studies the comparison of replenishment based inventory control policy and forecast based oninventory control policy. This study simulates two inventory control policies for deciding which policy generate more proper targetinventory level based on case study data. We develop a simulation model to decide the proper target inventory level for replenishment inventorymanagement using system dynamics Powersim simulation tool. The study shows that the replenishment based inventory control policy is more effective in terms of orderfulfillment rate. Two policies show similar performance in terms average inventory level.
