본 연구는 부모의 진로 기대가 자녀의 진로 스트레스에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인하고, 이들 간의 관계를 자기결정성 동기가 매개하는지 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 고등학생 400명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였으며, 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 진로 기대는 통제된 조절과 자율적조절, 그리고 진로 스트레스를 모두 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 두 가지 동기 유형 중 통제된 조절 수준이 높을수록 진로 스트레스가 증가하는 반면, 자율적 조절 수준이 높을수록 진로 스트레스가 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모의 진로 기대가 자녀의 진로 스트레스에 영향을 미치는 과정을자기결정성 동기가 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 본 연구의주요 결과를 바탕으로 교육적 함의와 제한점을 논의하였다.
Abstract
The present study aimed to examine the effects of parental career expectation on career stress among high school students and to verify whether their relationship are mediated by self-determined motivations. To this end, we surveyed 400 high school students. The results are as follows. First, parental career expectations have been shown to increase controlled motivation, autonomous motivation, and career stress. Second, of the two types of motivation, the higher the level of controlled motivation, the higher the degree of career stress, while the higher the level of autonomous motivation, the lower the career stress. Third, It has been revealed that both the controlled motivation and the autonomous motivation were partially mediated by the process of parental career expectations affecting career stress. Finally, education implications and limitations were discussed based on the main results of the study.
