초록

Recent complex crises, including COVID-19, US-China tensions, and the Russia-Ukraine war, have exposed the structural vulnerabilities underlying the connectivity and efficiency of global supply chains. Particularly within the defense and strategic material supply chains, these risks directly affect national security and operational continuity, thus rendering the establishment of systematic r isk-identification and assessment techniques imperative. In this study, BERTopic-based topic modeling is conducted on 1,086 relevant papers retrieved from the Web of Science database between 2019 and 2025 to structurally understand the academic trends in supply-chain risk management. Ten major topics are identified, which reveal the tendency for both technical and institutional perspectives to coexist, such as “supply chain resilience and agility,” “AI-based risk prediction,” “sustainability and ESG response,” “port and shipping risks,” and “blockchain-based transparency enhancement.” Quantifiable riskassessment indicators can be derived for each topic. This study is expected to contribute to the advancement of defense quality and strategic material management systems by providing an analytical foundation for examining the current state of defense and civilian supply chains, structuring risk factors, and developing assessment methodologies.
