Abstract

This study aimed to develop and implement a two-year ODA-based health promotion ADDIE education program in Laos, involving collaboration between Korean nursing students and Laotian university students. To ensure content validity (CVI) of the program, a panel of experts was consulted, including three nursing professors and one physical education professor. In the first year, five Korean nursing students and five Laotian university students delivered health education to 40 elementary and 80 middle school students. In the second year, six Korean nursing students and five Laotian students educated 80 elementary school students across two schools. The program successfully facilitated cross-cultural health education and led to the establishment of a health education club at a Laotian university, contributing to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs-3, 4, 14). The program also demonstrated the feasibility of student-led international collaboration in public health education. This study provides foundational data for the development of sustainable, structured ODA-based health promotion education programs. It highlights the potential contribution of international academic partnerships to long-term public health improvements in developing countries.
