니체의 도덕 심리학적 도덕 비판

아리스토텔레스에 의하면, 도덕적으로 선한 행위의 동기란 성격과 그것을가능하게 만드는 습관 내지 교육이다. 그런데 이 같은 요소들은 모두 후천적인특성이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 우리는 과연 도덕적 행위자의 행위에서 후천적요소들만이 결정적인 역할을 한다고 단정할 수 있는지 물어볼 수 있다. 그리고바로 이 지점에서 아리스토텔레스적인 행위의 동기나 과정에 대한 분석을 결정적으로 보강해 줄 수 있다고 여겨지는 견해가 도덕에 대한 니체의 도덕 심리학적 도덕 비판이다. 왜냐하면 니체는 그러한 비판을 통해 행위의 주요한 동기라고 간주될 수 있는 것들을 후천적이고 환경적인 측면에서보다 선천적이고 기질적인 요인들 속에서 찾으려고 했기 때문이다. 다음으로 칸트의 경우 도덕적행위에서 주목의 대상은 주로 의식적인 선택의 차원에 있었다. 그런데 과연인간의 도덕적 행위를 해명하는데 있어서 의식적인 선택의 요소들만으로 충분한가? 결코 그렇다고 단정하기 어렵다는 점은 비교적 분명하다. 그리고 바로이 지점에서 다시 우리의 유력한 조력자로 등장할 수 있는 철학자가 니체이다. 왜냐하면 니체는 도덕적 행위의 표면적이고 의식적인 동기를 넘어선 심층적차원에 집중하고자 했기 때문이다. 니체는 인간의 도덕적 행위에서 주요한 역할을 하는 것은 양육이나 의식적인 선택이 아니라 유전적이며 심리학적이고 생리학적인 특성들이라고 여기는듯이 보인다. 물론 그렇다고 니체가 도덕적 행위에 있어서 환경적 요인이나의식적 선택의 요소를 전적으로 무시하고 있는 것은 결코 아니다. 다만 니체는 그 정도에 있어서 전자가 훨씬 더 큰 영향을 미친다고 생각할 뿐이다. 어쨌든도덕적 동기에 관한 니체의 설명에서 우리가 유의해야 할 사항은 그가 당시독일 유물론자들의 영향을 받아 인간을 기본적으로 유기체로 보았으며 따라서그런 인간에 대한 가장 적합한 고찰방식은 생리학이라고 생각했다는 점이다. 다시 말해 니체는 도덕적 행위를 포함한 인간의 행위와 의식적 삶에 대한 최선의 설명이란 생리학적 설명일 수 있다고 간주했다는 것이다. 덧붙여 니체는무의식적 차원 역시 행위 결정에서 중요한 역할을 한다는 점을 지적함으로써인간 행위에 대한 그의 생리-심리학적 설명 방식을 완성하게 된다.
Abstract
According to Aristotle, the motive of morally good action is the character or the education that results in such a character. By the way, theses factors are all a posterior. Therefore, we can ask whether it is certain that only such elements play a decisive role in the behavior of moral agent. And in my opinion,moral-psychological critique of moral that Nietzsche suggests could compensate the analytics of the motive and the course of action which Aristotle shows. Because Nietzsche seeks to find the principal motive of the behavior which we can name in a priori and dispositions rather than in a posteriori and environmental traits. Next, according to Kant, the object of attention in moral action is the dimension of deliberate choice. But we can again question follows. Is it sufficient to explicate the moral behavior of human beings only in terms of deliberate choice? Absolutely not. Here Nietzsche again could help us. For Nietzsche tries to investigate the deep dimension beyond the superficial and shallow motives of moral actions. Nietzsche thinks that not cultivation or conscious selection but the psychological and physiological factors play a notable role in moral behavior. Of course, he doesn’t ignore those elements including environmental dimensions. Nietzsche wants to explain that the former is more influential than the latter. At any rate, we note that he regards the human beings as organism under the contemporary german materialists and so insists that the physiology is the best way of explanation about human beings. In other words, Nietzsche said that the physiological thinking is the highest thinking concerning moral action and conscious lives. In addition, Nietzsche reaches the physio-psychological mode of thought by announcing that the unconscious is important in decision of action.
