부안 동학농민혁명 유적지의 스토리텔링화 방안— 제1차 봉기를 중심으로 —

Abstract

This study explores strategies for utilizing storytelling to enhance the historical significance of the Donghak Peasant Revolution heritage sites in Buan. Buan played a crucial role in the revolution, particularly as the site of the Baeksan Assembly, a pivotal event marking the revolution’s official commencement. Recently discovered historical sources, such as the Hongjae Diary, have provided further validation of Baeksan Assembly’s historical authenticity. This study analyzes the current status of key heritage sites in Buan and proposes storytelling applications centered around the Baeksan Assembly and the Buan town area. Through these methods, the study aims to highlight the historical significance of these sites while promoting their potential for tourism and education. Furthermore, by reinterpreting the spirit of the Donghak Peasant Revolution in a contemporary context, this research seeks to contribute to strengthening Buan’s cultural identity and preserving its historical heritage.
