츠빙글리의 역병가(Pestlied): 한국어 표준 번역을 위한 제언

코로나19를 전후하여, 츠빙글리의 역병가에 대한 적지 않은 관심이 일어났 다. 이미 몇몇 학자들은 역병가를 한글로 번역하였고, 몇몇 목회자들은 목회 현장에서 역병가를 사용하기도 했다. 그런데 기존에 사용된 역병가의 한글 번역본들을 자세히 분석해보면, 정확도가 떨어지는 부분이나, 작품의 예술성 이 충분히 드러나지 못한 부분들이 있을 뿐만 아니라, 사본비평이 빈약하다 는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 마음의 신학이라는 측면에서 츠빙글리 종 교개혁의 길을 예비했을지도 모르는 역병가 본문을, 사본비평과 함께 재번 역하고, 기존 번역들에서 수정할 점들을 제안함으로써, 역병가의 표준 번역 형성에 기여하고자 하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다.
Abstract
Not a little attention has been given to Zwingli’s Pestlied, as there have been a few scholars and pastors who either translated it into Korean or to use it in a pastoral setting. In spite of its popularity, the existing trans- lations are often misleading and fail to do justice to the artistic value of the plague song. Textual crticism has been another area of weakness, as none of the translations deal with it. By revising previous translations with due textual criticism, the present writer aims to promote the formation of the Korean standardized translation of Pestlied, which might pave the way for Zwingli’s reformational breakthrough in relation to the religion of heart.
