지체장애여성의 MMPI-2 프로파일 유형에 따른 방어기제 특성

본 연구는 대구시에 거주하는 지체장애여성 96명을 대상으로 MMPI-2 프로파일과 MMPI-2 군집분석에서 추출된 두 하위유형의 방어기제 특성을 살펴보았다. MMPI-2 전체 프로파일은 T점수 40～60점 사이의 정상 프로파일이었고, MMPI-2 타당도 척도(L, F, K)와 10개의 임상척도를 군집분석 한 결과 두 개의 하위유형으로 분류되었다. Ⅰ유형은 타당도 척도 중 F척도가 L척도와 K척도에 비해 상승하는 ‘∧’자 형태로, 임상척도 중 D, Si 척도가 T60점 이상 상승하였고, Ⅱ유형은 타당도척도 중 L척도와 K척도가 상승하는 ‘∨’자 형태로, 임상 척도는 T점수 40점～55점 범위에 속하였다. MMPI-2 프로파일 유형에 따른 방어기제 특성을 분석한 결과, Ⅰ유형은 미성숙 단계의 회피를 가장 많이 사용하고, 그 다음은 신경증 단계의 반동형성, 성숙단계의 승화 순이며, Ⅱ유형은 성숙단계의 예견, 미성숙단계의 회피, 신경증단계의 반동형성 순이었다. 또한 두 군집 간 유의미한 차이를 보인 방어기제는 자아도취단계의 투사, 왜곡, 미성숙 단계의 신체화, 신경증단계의 합리화, 성숙단계의 예견으로 Ⅰ유형은 미성숙한 방어기제를, Ⅱ유형은 성숙한 방어기제를 더 많이 사용하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 지체장애여성이라는 동질집단 내에서 MMPI-2 프로파일 유형에 따른 방어기제 사용에 차이가 있음을 보여주고 있다. 끝으로 본 연구의 의의, 제한점, 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study investigated the characteristics of the defense mechanisms used by disabled women according to subgroups derived from MMPI-2 cluster analysis. As a result of cluster analysis of MMPI-2 scales, collective analysis resulted in two sub-types. Collective type Ⅰ was F out of the validity scales increasing, where D and Si ouof the clinical scales increased more than 60 points. Collective type Ⅱ was out of the validity scales and out of the clinical scales still meeting the range of normal profile. According to the analysis of the defense mechanisms by MMPI-2 types, collective type Ⅰ mostly applied “evasion" from immature defenses, the following Neurotic defenses mechanisms, mature stages of "sublimation" while collective type II mostly applied “anticipation" from mature defenses the following “evasion" from immature defenses ”reaction“ formation from neurotic defenses mechanisms. Finally, we discussed the implications and limitations of this study and provide suggestions for future studies.
