Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore and understand the meaning of the performance experience of Middle-aged Dancers in Korean Traditional Dance by deriving stories containing their experiences and authenticity through narratives about the performance experience of Middle-aged Dancers in Korean Traditional Dance. Methods: To this end, the narrative inquiry method was used as a research method to derive a story containing the sincerity of a Middle-aged Dancers in Korean Traditional Dance. From this, the meaning of the narrative phenomenon was explored through the reconstruction of the field text of five study participants. Result: First, it was analyzed as a free space where fieldiness exists. Second, it was analyzed as a foundation for gods that allowed improvisation. Third, it was analyzed as an expression of emotions and emotions through immersion in the role of the work. Fourth, the future-oriented direction from the performance experience was analyzed as the preservation of self-sustaining transmission. Conclusion: Middle-aged Dancers in Korean Traditional Dance add personality to the dance they are dancing through their performance experience so far, express themselves on stage with their own stories from the factors of realism, improvisation, and immersion in the work, and continuously develop themselves.
