연구도구로 김현(2008)의 어머니-영아 상호작용 평정척도와 배소영(2003)의 MCDI-K(The MacAuthur Communitive Development Inventory - Korea)를 사용하였다.
Abstract
The objective of this study was to examine the effect of baby sign education for mothers on mother-infant interaction and infant's vocabulary. The subjects of study were 20 infants of 9 to 10 months of age and their mothers in J city, Jeollabuk-do. As study tools, this study used the mother-child interaction scale developed by Kim Hyeon (2008). For infant’s vocabulary, Bae So-Yeong (2003)’s MCDI-K (The MacAuthur communicative development inventory-Korea) was utilized. This study was conducted in the procedures of research assistant training, preliminary test, preliminary research, education for teachers in the experiment group, pre-test, treatment, post-test. The data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney U Test using SPSS 18.0. Study findings are as follows. First, baby sign education for mothers had a positive effect on the improvement of mother-infant interaction. Second, baby sign education for mothers had a positive effect on the development of infant’s vocabulary. These results suggested that the baby sign education has a positive effect on enhancing the quality of nursing by helping the interaction and communication between the mother and the child, and also enhancing the vocabulary of the infant.
